Emily Witschi, RN BSN
Co-Founder & Aesthetic Nurse
Emily's Clinical Background
Emily's path to aesthetic nursing is unlike most. Nearly two decades in pediatric oncology at UCSF gave her an education in clinical precision, complex patient care, and the kind of human connection that comes from sitting with families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
When Emily transitioned to aesthetic nursing, she brought that foundation with her. The result is a provider who approaches every aesthetic treatment, however routine, as an act of medical care: thorough, considered, and deeply attentive to the individual in front of her.
Her clinical education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Francisco and advanced training in aesthetic injectable technique, laser systems, and skin health protocols. She has developed particular expertise in:
Complex skin concerns — post-cancer skin renewal, skin barrier restoration, and aesthetic care for patients managing ongoing medical treatment
Advanced injectable techniques — Botox, Daxxify, and dermal filler treatment with a focus on subtle, natural outcomes
Skin health consultation — personalized medical-grade skincare protocol development for patients with acne, hyperpigmentation, melasma, rosacea, and aging skin
Chemical peels and resurfacing — SkinMedica peel series, PRX Derm Perfexion, and combination resurfacing treatment planning
Microneedling — SkinPen treatment for acne scars, skin texture, and collagen stimulation
DiamondGlow clinical facials — customized SkinMedica serum selection and treatment sequencing
Emily's approach to aesthetic nursing is shaped by the same value she developed in oncology: patients come first, always.
In a med spa context, that means taking the time to understand not just what a patient wants aesthetically, but why they want it, and whether the treatment they're asking for is genuinely the most appropriate next step. It means being willing to recommend a less expensive treatment when it's the right one. It means building a long-term relationship instead of a transactional one.
Emily is particularly skilled at working with patients who are new to aesthetic treatments and feel uncertain or overwhelmed. Her calm, methodical, unhurried approach to consultations consistently puts first-time patients at ease, giving them the information they need to make confident, informed decisions about their own care.
She also brings a particular sensitivity to aesthetic care for patients navigating significant medical histories, including those who have gone through cancer treatment and are rebuilding their relationship with their skin and appearance. This is a patient population she knows well, and cares about deeply.
