Most patients describe Botox injections as a small pinch. The needles used are very fine and each injection is quick. Topical numbing cream is available on request for sensitive patients or areas.

Daxxify® (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator, the same class of injectable as Botox, that relaxes facial muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles. The key difference is duration: Botox typically lasts three to four months, while Daxxify is clinically proven to last a median of six months. Daxxify also uses a novel peptide stabilizer instead of the human serum albumin used in Botox.

Before injectable treatments, avoid: blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil for one week prior (unless prescribed by your physician); alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment; and facials, face massages, or other skin treatments for one week prior. Most patients return to normal activities immediately after Botox or filler. Mild redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites is common and typically resolves within 24–72 hours. Filler treatments in the lips may involve slightly more swelling for two to five days post-treatment.
